注意！ この作品は、リュミエール本編を読みつつ後日談風に作者が勝手に考えて書いた作品です。 その為、作者の勝手な憶測だけで本編後を、書かれている部分が多々ございますが、 その辺りはご勘弁ください。 クリーチャー・・・・・ それは、半年前の『楠木町』にのみ出現していた。夕陽が沈みきる一時間の間にだけ出現する異形動物の姿を模しているのが特徴で、様々な特徴を兼ね備えた固体も確認されており、この存在を倒せるのは『仮面ライダー』だけである・・・・。 そして、一人の仮面ライダーとして覚醒した少女とその勇敢なる仲間達の手によって、クリーチャーの世界と『楠木町』とを繋ぐ夕陽の門は、完全に閉ざされて その未知なる脅威から、人知れない所で解放され、平穏の日々が訪れる。 ・・・・しかし、その人知れず行われた光と闇の戦いから、半年後の『楠木町』から 招かれざる訪問者達により、つかの間の平穏は脆くも崩れ去るように・・・・ 仮面ライダーリュミエール ＶＳ 仮面ライダーＧＥＩＳＴ ～全てを護りし閃光と全てを破壊せし亡霊～ 第一話 終わりの為の序奏曲 ・・・・・楠木町 その郊外にある人里離れた場所で、何かが蠢く それは、人の身の丈を越えるような巨大な植物の芽のようにも見えるが、 その植物は、なにかを透明なきらきらと光で煌めく石を自分の周囲にはき出し 他の植物達を枯れさせていた。 そして、その周りには、大きなその植物を護るように、人間サイズの昆虫のような漆黒の鎧のような外骨格に覆われた節足動物が、群れを成していた。 「（主は、「あなたの名は何か」と尋ねはじめられた。すると彼は、「私の名はレギオンです。わたしたちは大勢いるからです。」と言った。）ふふっ、新約聖書のマルコによる福音書5章9節に語られる【レギオン】という名に相応しいものだな。」 その異質な光景を見ながら、司祭が着るような黒装束男が、ニヒルな悪目いた笑みを見せる。 「フン、人間ノ書物ノコトナド、知ッタコトカ。ソレヨリモ、約束ハ覚エテイルノダロウナ？」 その司祭の後ろに黒いコートですっぽりと顔まで隠している男が、詰まらなそうに呟く。 「まあいい・・・・おまえ達こそ喚んでやる代わりに交わした約束、忘れるなよ？」 司祭は、黒装束の態度に感を触ったのかやや不機嫌な口調で答える。 「ソノ時ノ恩ハ忘レナイガ・・・・ライダー共ヲ捕獲ナドシテドウスルツモリダ？」 黒装束の男は、司祭の反応など気などした様子をみせない。 「そんなことを、お前達が気にする必要はない。 ・・・・それより、お前達こそ、この町に確認されている３人の仮面ライダーをさっさと捕獲しろ。出来ることなら３人とも生け捕りにしてほしい所だが・・・ 抵抗する場合は、死体でもかまわないが、最低でも一人は生かしておけ。」 司祭も黒装束の男の態度に、気にせずにいた。 「分カッテイル。シカシ、ナゼソコマデ急グ。」 黒装束の男は、やや難しい顔をして答えた。 「・・・ふん。こちらにも事情が在るのでな。そうでなければ、お前達などには頼らん。 とにかく、急げ。」 司祭は、そう言いながら、何か手帳のような物を眺めた。 「分カッタ、全ク、人使イガ荒イ奴ダナ。」 黒装束は、そう言うと司祭の前から姿を消した。 「駒のくせに生意気な奴め。・・・・まあいい、精々利用させてやるさ。」 司祭は、そう言うとその異様な場から、踵を返してどこもともなく消えていった。 「今日も、地域巡回の終了と。」 綺麗にウェーブのかかったブロンドの髪をした楠木高等学校生徒会長、花形 柚子（はながたゆず）は日の入りを確認しながら、うんうんと頷きながらその楠木高等学校の校門から見える夕焼けの景色を眺めていた。 彼女は、休日の為に、本来ならばこの場所には来なくてもいいのだが、成美達の活躍によって、夕陽の門が閉ざされた為に彼女が、その高校生活の大半を費やしたであろう「クリーチャーとの戦い」に終止符がもたらされたのだが、閉ざされた当初は、封印して間もないせいか、若干ではあるが、クリーチャーの残党が出現していた。 その為に、柚子が始めたこの「巡回」なのだが、最初の内は、成美や藤子達が、同行を求めたのだが、出てくるクリーチャーが以前の者に比べると、門が閉じてしまったせいかあまりにも弱く、 そして、出てきても２、３日に一匹が出る程度のレベルのため自分一人でも十分に対応出来るレベルな為、丁重に断っていた。 「今日も、０匹か。・・・・まあ、平和にこしたことはないわね。」 しかし、ここ一ヶ月では、一匹も現れずに平穏な日々が続いていた。 けれども、クリーチャーが、何時現れるか分からないために、柚子のその巡回は現在も尚、続けられていた。 「藤子や成美ちゃんやあかねちゃん達と、みんなで護った平和だもの。何があっても護らなきゃ・・・その平和がずっと続くように・・・・。」 柚子は、そう言葉を口にしながら、半年前に起きたあの事件のことを思い出していた。 自分や、藤子、あかね、海、健斗、そして、その物語の中心にいた成美 様々な辛いことや苦しいことを乗り越え、やっとの思いで勝ち取った彼らの平和を どんなことがあっても、守り続けると決めた柚子の決意の込められた瞳が、夕日を突き刺した。 「と、今日も問題ないし帰ろうかな・・・・・・っ！この感じ・・・どうしてここまで近づくまで気づけなかったの！」 柚子は、夕日にむけていた視線を校庭の方に傾けるとそれはいた。 人間サイズの昆虫のような異形な四つ足で地面を這いずり、目はなく口が在るであろう部分には、鳥の嘴のような二枚の二等辺三角形のプレートのような物に覆われて、二本の手のような鋏を持った生物が、３匹の群れをなして学校の壁にへばりつき壁を食べているように嘴のような所で突っついていた。 その異様なクリーチャーの出現での唯一の救いは、休日のため、学校に人がいなかった事だろうか。 「・・・・それに、もう日が沈んでいるのにどうして・・・！？」 そして、柚子は、もう一つ、そのクリーチャーの異様な点に気づく。 ・・・それは、太陽が完全に沈み、夕陽の時はとうに過ぎているのだ。 けれども、その昆虫型のクリーチャーは我がもの顔で、蠢いていた。 「・・・けど、そんなことはどうでもいい・・・たくさんの思い出が詰まった我が母校を・・・・壊そうとするお前らなんかを、許してなるものか！！！」 その異質なクリーチャーを睨みつけながら怒鳴りつけて、柚子は、両手を腹部の前に持って行くと、中央に黒い宝石の安置されたベルトを出現させる。 そして、その声に気づいたのかクリーチャー達は、ぞろぞろと柚子の方へと近づいていく。 「変身！！！」 滾らせた血を力にするように発せられた大音声は、世界を一変させる。 金髪の少女の周りの地面がいきなり隆起し、小さな山々を生みだしていく。 その山脈に覆われ、柚子の姿が見えなくなる。 しかし、一瞬とせぬ内に岩肌に亀裂が入った。 岩山を砕いて現れた、銀の重装甲を纏った戦士。その片手には昆虫の王者を模した雄々しい斧。 バックルの黒い宝石は、まさに軍神が如く崇め奉りたくなるほどの威光を放っていた。 「・・・・あの世に行く前に覚えておきなさい！！！ 力によって敵を滅討せし戦乙女、仮面ライダーフォルス！！！」 その空間を切り裂くような叫び声と共に、大地を蹴り上げながら走り込み その手に持つ片手斧を嘴を薙ぎ払った。 「チェストォォォォッ！！！」 金属と金属がぶつかり合うような耳を劈く音をさせ、火花を散らしながら強引に押し込んだその強烈な衝撃に、クリーチャーは嘴を大きく歪ませて、錐もみ回転しながら吹き飛び 壁へとその体の半分以上をめり込ませた。 「一匹目っ！！！」 柚子は、壁にめり込んだクリーチャーを一瞥し、もう動かない事を確認すると、 直ぐさま、他のクリーチャー達が動き出す前に、跳躍して中空より自由落下の加速をかけた一渾身の一撃を振り落とす。 「二匹目っ！！！」 すると、その空間すら切り裂きかねない重い一撃で、クリーチャーごとその下の大地が砕き、クリーチャー圧壊させる。 すると、最後に残った一匹は、左右に付いた嘴を開き、そこにはぎょろぎょろと動く青い単眼の目が存在しており、その目から発せられる青白い光がスパークしながら左右に分かれた嘴に収束されてゆき・・・青白い光線が柚子に向かって解き放たれる。 「っ！！！」 柚子は、そのクリーチャーの怪光線が飛ばされた瞬間に、手に持つ片手斧をそのクリーチャーに投げつけながら、真横に飛び引く。 「キュルルル！！！」 その柚子によって投げつけられた片手斧が、開いたその青い目に突き刺さり、断末魔の叫びを上げながら、クリーチャーは崩れ落ちた。 「嘘でしょ・・・擦っただけでここまで行くなんて・・・。」 そして、柚子も、クリーチャーの怪光線の攻撃が、軽く左肩を擦った程度なのだが、 戦車の砲撃にも裕に耐えることの出来る装甲は、左肩から腕の部分にかけて金属が高熱で熱せられたように、融解されて蒸発していた。 「・・・・邪魔だ。」 何者かが、低いけれども、空気を切り裂く様な通った声をさせる。 「くっ！！」 そして、その言葉の後に、柚子は、右側の腰に衝撃を覚えて、約２～３ｍほど、転がった。 すると今まで、柚子がいた場所に、青白い怪光線が走る。 柚子は、怪光線の飛んできた方向を眺めると、最初に壁にめり込んだクリーチャーが、嘴が吹き飛んでおり、むき出しの状態で這い出てきていた。 そして、どこから仲間を呼んだのか分からないが、 その数は、４匹ほどに増えていた。 「キュルルルッ！！！」 そのクリーチャー達は、柚子の方などまるで見ておらず、柚子の後ろの方へと注意が注がれていた。 「・・・・消えろ。」 柚子は、再び聞こえた声の主の方に目を向けるとそこには、 自分と同じくらいの年頃の背中に身の丈を越える巨大な両刃の剣を携えて、８芒星が描かれている赤い外套を纏う青年が立っており、その纏っている雰囲気が、刺々しさを越えて禍々しさを放っており、 そして、冷酷とまでいえる冷めた瞳は、まるで最前線の兵士の様だった。 赤外套の青年は言葉と共に、駆け出して懐から漆黒の赤いなにか呪文めいた文字が装飾された大型自動拳銃を引き抜き、怪光線を放とうとしていた一匹のクリーチャーの青い目に、トリガーを引き、轟音と硝煙の臭いをさせる。 その弾丸は、常人には分からないだろうが、超感覚を保有する柚子には、 弾丸の一発一発が紅蓮の業火のような朱い光を纏っていることがわかった。 「キュルルルッ！」 すると、青い目を打ち抜かれたクリーチャーは、断末魔の叫び声を上げて崩れ落ちる。 刹那、赤外套の青年の両サイドから２体のクリーチャーが鋏のような腕を振り上げ飛びついてこようとする。 「・・・・甘い。」 すると、赤外套の青年は空いた方の手で太腿辺りに取り付けられていている、 やや小型に、改良されている先ほどの大型自動拳銃と、同じく赤い呪文めいた文字が刻まれた突撃銃を引き抜き、中空に飛び上がってる一体のクリーチャーの嘴辺りに銃口を当ててトリガーを引いた。 「キュルルギュッ！！！」 大型自動拳銃のよりも、さらに甲高い音をさせながら、 クリーチャーの分厚そうな外骨格の鎧の関節などのある隙間から火花を散らせた。 そして、残りの一体には、振り向き様に、赤い外套を靡かせながら胴回し蹴りをクリーチャーの嘴辺りの部分に叩き込み嘴を砕きながら吹き飛ばす。 「キュルルギュッ！！！」 さらに、最後に残った一体が、怪光線を放とうと青白い光を収束させているのを見るや否や突撃銃を水平にした状態でトリガーを引いて、クリーチャーの青い目を砕いた。 「キュルルルッ！！！」 クリーチャーの断末魔の叫びを聞くか聞かないかの所で 赤外套の青年は、蹴り飛ばしたクリーチャーが、起き上がろうとした瞬間に、 大型自動拳銃を懐に戻して、肩の辺りから付いている今までの武器と同じ装飾を施された全長３５ｃｍほどの肉厚の厚いコンバットナイフを半壊した嘴の奥に在る青い目に突き刺した。 「キュルルル！！！」 最後の一匹が、どす黒い血を流しながら、断末魔の悲鳴をあげクリーチャーを 赤外套の青年は人形のような無表情な表情で眺めていた。 そして、柚子はその光景を、瞬きもせず見入っていた。 なぜならばこれまでの行動を、この赤外套の青年は、 物の１分も掛からずにやってのけたのだ。 柚子の様な「仮面ライダー」としての超感覚を保有していなければ、 何が起こったのかすら分からないほどのレベルだ。 「あんた・・・一体何者なの？」 柚子はふと考える。 今思えば、最初に柚子を蹴り飛ばしたときもそうだ。 まずは、柚子ほどの「仮面ライダー」としての超感覚を保有する人間が、「仮面ライダー」成ってすぐの人間ならばいざ知らず、楠木町における「最初で最強の仮面ライダー・フォルス」の柚子が、幾ら戦闘直後とはいえ、背後に人がいる人間に気づかれずに攻撃を受けるのはおかしい。・・・そして何よりも、いくら背後からの不意打ちとはいえ戦車砲の直撃でもビクともしない、白銀の鎧を纏った柚子を軽々と蹴り飛ばしたのだ。 さらに、彼の放つ雰囲気は、クリーチャーのそれと近く、もしかしたら「あの蟷螂野郎」と同じ上級のクリーチャーなのかも知れないと考える。 「・・・・まだいたのか。」 赤外套の青年は、柚子の存在にやっと気づいたように、詰まらなそうに目を向けた。 「居たわよ！悪い！！」 柚子はその赤外套の青年の態度が感に触ったのか声を荒げる。 「・・・・尻のでかい男？」 赤外套の青年は、柚子の事を、上から下まで眺める様に見て、ぼそっと呟く。 「・・・・なわぁんでぇすってぇぇぇぇぇぇぇぇぇぇ！！！！！」 柚子は、誰の目からも分かるくらいに、青筋を立てて、怒っていた。 もう最初見たときの、禍々しい雰囲気だとかその冷たい瞳に 臆することなく噛みつく様に怒鳴った。 「・・・・五月蠅いな。・・・・カルシウムが足りないんじゃないか？ ・・・・色々と・・・・。」 赤外套の青年は、無表情ながらにも、よく見ると鬱陶しそうな表情を見せながら 柚子の在る箇所に目を向ける。 「・・・絶対殺す・・・・！！！！」 その赤外套の青年が、向けた視線がどこだかをすぐに、自分の胸に対して向けている事に気づいた柚子は、もう彼が、何者かどうかなど頭の隅にすらなく 感情の赴くままに、憎悪を込めたヘラクレスアックスを、振り落とした。 「・・・・おっと。」 赤外套の男は、そのいつもとは違う柚子の単調な攻撃を、後ろに飛び引いて避けた。 その単調だが、強力な攻撃は、裕に地面を隆起させるほどの物だった。 「ちょこまかよけるなぁぁぁ！！！」 柚子は、ぶんぶんと風を切る音をさせながら、感情のままにヘラクレスアックスを振るう もはや、「力によって敵を滅討せし戦乙女仮面ライダーフォルス」としての威厳などありはしない。 「・・・・当たったら危ない。」 赤外套の男は、その大振りの攻撃を、紙一重の所でひょいひょいと身軽に避ける。 「死にさらせぇぇぇぇぇぇぇっ！！！・・・・アースシェイク！！！！」 ダイヤモンドすらも切り裂く最強の武器、“ヘラクレスアックス”。 カブトムシの角という特殊な形状をした斧が、大地に打ちつけようと地面に振り落とした その時、赤外套の青年が信じられない行動に出た。 「・・・・ちょっと！！！何やってるのよ！！！！」 彼は、そのヘラクレスアックスの必殺の一撃を避けようとせず肩で受け止めた。 その空間すら破壊する衝撃を己の肩に一身で受け止めるのだから、体は膝辺りまで 地面にめり込ませながら、そのヘラクレスアックスは、 彼の肩の胸の辺りにまで食い込み、赤黒い血が溢れ出てくる。 「・・・・惜しかったな。」 赤外套の男は、無表情ながら口元だけ歪な笑みを浮かべる。 「ちょっと、あんた・・・何、考えてるのよ！！！」 柚子は、その赤外套の青年の行動に、驚きの表情を見せる。 「・・・・「ちょこまか逃げるな」と言ったのはそっちだ。」 赤外套の青年は、何事もなかった様に、めり込んだ足を、無理矢理引き抜きながら答える 「だからって、自分から突っ込んで来る馬鹿がどこにいるのよっ！！！」 柚子は、自分がやった事を棚に上げて、怒鳴りつける。 「・・・・そんなに怒っているか？」 赤外套の男は、ぱっと見では気づかないが、瞳からはさぞ不思議そうな表情を見せる。 「・・・当たり前じゃない！！！」 柚子は、その男の表情が、感にさわったのか涙腺を潤ませていた。 「・・・・いや・・・うん・・・まあ。・・・・女の人は、胸だけが全てじゃない。・・・・えっと、・・・・それで悪かった。」 赤外套の男は、明らかに、今、柚子が怒っていることを分かってなく、 「男か？」といったことをしどろもどろに謝っているようだ。 「全然、分かってないじゃないぃぃぃぃぃ！！！！！！！！」 完全に的を外している解答に、感情が高ぶっている柚子は、地べたに尻餅をついて ぐしゃりと表情が変わり、子供のように泣き始める。 「・・・・よしよし。」 赤外套の男は、尻餅をついた柚子と同じ目線になるように、膝を地面につけて柚子の頭を撫でた。 「私・・・胸とか無いけど・・・そこまで、こどもじゃないもん。」 柚子自身も気づいてないのか、子供のような言葉遣いで拗ねたようにいった。 柚子を「熱血の生徒会長」と慕っている楠木高等学校の生徒及び、彼女を知っているものならば、誰もが驚く光景だろう。 「・・・分かってる。・・・けど、人は・・・・時には誰かに甘えたって良い時が・・・ あってもいいだろう・・・。」 赤外套の男は、そう諭すような言いながら、柚子を優しく抱きしめて、子供をあやすように、背中を軽くぽんぽんと叩いた。 「・・・本当に分かってない・・・・命って大切なんだよ？・・・亡くしたら・・・もう・・戻って来ないんだよ・・・・あんた・・・わかってんの？」 柚子は、二年前の事件で亡くなった幼なじみであり、籐子の恋人であり・・・初めて人を好きになった佐々木 裕也のことを思い返した。 「・・・・ああ、知っている。・・・・終わりが来るからこそ尊いんだ・・・・けれども、終わりの来ない命に・・・・何の意味がある？」 赤外套の男は、顔を顰めながら、柚子に聞こえないほどの小さく低い声で呟き、目の前の大きな子供を、あやす様に、優しく背中を叩いていた。 「だから、子供じゃないんだよ。・・・・ばか～。」 柚子は、顔も、声も、雰囲気も全く違うこの唐変木で、人形のような男の不器用過ぎる優しさに、かつて自分が初めて愛した幼なじみと重ね合わしていた・・・・ 「・・・なんか・・・親にも見せれない位に、すっごい恥ずかしい所をあんたにみせたんだけど////」 柚子は、落ち着きを取り戻し、さっきまで子供のように泣いたり怒ったりした自分の醜態を思い出して、頬を赤く染めていた。 「・・・・なに、俺しか聞いていないさ。」 赤外套の男は、先ほどの優しい口調ではなくなっていた。 「・・・・だから問題なんじゃない。」 柚子は、肩を落として、深いため息を吐いた。 「・・・・そう言うものなのか？」 赤外套の男は、不思議そうに首を傾げた。 「・・・そういうもんなの。 ・・・そう言えば、あんたの名前を聞いてなかったわね？ 私は、花形 柚子。 ・・・・あんたは？」 柚子は、ぽんと手を叩いて、思い出した様に、告げる。 「・・・・二度と会わないのだろうから、わざわざ良いだろう。」 赤外套の男は、仏頂面で答える。 「何いってんのよ！！！ 『楠木高等学校生徒会長』の私を泣かせた罪は重いのよ！！！ 今回は、勝ちを譲ってあげるけど、勝ち逃げなんて許さないんだから！！！ 名前と連絡先を今すぐ教えなさい！！！ ・・・・・・教えないと末代まで恨むわよ。」 柚子は、空気を引き裂くような威勢のいい声でドスを効かせていた。 目の前にいるこの男以外ならば、大の男でも泣きそうなくらいに・・・・ 「・・・・んっ。」 赤外套の男は、ここは素直に言っておかないと面倒だと思ったのか、 懐から取り出した、名刺を渡した。 「何々？・・・・フリーオカルトライター、聖 誠（ひじり まこと）・・・あれ？住所が書いて無いじゃない？」 柚子は、その差し出された名刺をまじまじとみながら、眉間に皺を寄せた。 「・・・・ああ、いつも各地を転々としているから、携帯の番号と名前程度しか乗せていない。」 誠は、面倒くさそうな口調で答える。 「・・・そんなんで、よくやっていけてるわね。・・・・まあ、良いわ。 今日は、勝ちを譲ってあげるけど、今度会うときまで首を洗って待ってなさいね！！」 柚子は、その名刺を大事そうに手に持ち、そのブロンドのウェーブのかかった髪を靡かせながら、颯爽とネオンの光で溢れた町中へと消える。 「・・・・おかしな女。」 誠はぼそりと、その後ろ姿を眺めながら呟く。 「・・・・いいにゃ～。鈴（りん）もご主人しゃまに、にゃでにゃでとぽんぽんしてほしいにゃ～。」 物陰から、まだ年も間もない子供の拗ねたような声が響いた。 「・・・・いつから見ていた。」 誠は、突然のその声に、驚く素振りも見せなかった。 「・・・ご主人しゃまが、「あの人間の雌」をにゃでにゃでしたくらいからです。」 その物陰から、誠の胸までも身長が達していない頭に猫の耳のようなものをつけた少女 が柚子のことを強調して拗ねた口調でしゃべった。 「・・・・それに、いつもしてやっているだろ？」 誠は、面倒くさそうに答える。 「ちがうの～。ご主人しゃまからやってくれるのと、鈴が頼んでしてもらうのは全然ちがうの～。」 鈴は、頬をふくらませながら、む～っと唸っていた。 「・・・・今度から、言われても二度とせん。」 誠は、相変わらず、面倒くさそうに言った。 「あ～、嘘、嘘、じょうだんですよ～！！！」 鈴は、むくれていた顔からころっと変わりながら、追いすがるように誠の足にくっついた。 「・・・・全く、で？どうだった？」 誠は、呆れた様にため息を吐いた。 「はい！今回この町にばらまかれたのは、ちょっと変わったタイプのレギオンらしいです。 それで、教会以外になんか変わった組織と一緒に、この町での性能テスト以外の怪しい動きがありそうです。・・・・目的までは、ちょっと、まだ分かりませんけど。」 鈴は、お絵かきノートのような表紙の本をめくりながら、答える。 「・・・・そうか。 ・・・・これ以上の深入りは危険だろう、次は、どんな小さいことでもいい この町で起きた事件を調べてくれ。・・・・出来れば、３年前から半年前位の間でだ。」 誠は、自分の腕を眺めながら、ぐっと拳を握った。 「・・・ご主人しゃま、もしかして、あの女の人の・・・記憶を？」 鈴は、心配そうに誠を見つめる。 「・・・・ああ、「リオナ」の力は、まだこの俺には、馴染まないらしい。」 誠は、その言った後に、「心配ない」と言う言葉を付け加えた。 「・・・本当に大丈夫ですか？」 鈴は心配そうにしながら、上目遣いで誠を見つめる。 「・・・・ああ、俺のしでかした業だ。今更、逃げる気はない。 ・・・・それよりも、調査の方を頼む」 誠は、鈴を優しく撫でながら答える。 「・・・分かりました。・・・・じゃあ、にゃごりおしいですけど、行ってきます。」
