それは、貴一は出勤途中に起こった。 彼の前方の少し離れた場所で、一人の少年が転んだ。更にそこに、自転車が突っ込んでいく 自転車はブレーキが壊れた様子だった （危ない！） 「即決・即行・即死」がモットーな貴一は、即決で子供を助けようと走る。 だが彼の足では間に合いそうになかった。 次の瞬間、一人の女性がものすごいスピードで、彼の横を通り抜けた。 「えっ！」 そのスピードは常人を越えていた。そしてそのまま、女性は子供を見事救出した。 「大丈夫？」 女性は助けた子供に声をかける。 「何だ。あの人」 貴一は唖然としていた 「でも、どっかで見た人だな・・・・・・・・・」 ふと時計を見る 「やばい！」 彼はその場から走り出した。そしてギリギリであったが遅刻せずに済んだ。 その日は、世間の流行が「技」という事もあり、技を磨く訓練を行った。 そして今日の訓練が一通り終えた後、彼は、朝の事が気になっていて 考え込んでいた。 「どうしたんですか」 そんな彼に声をかけたのは候補生の一人、高耶晴海 「ちょっと考え事を」 「何かあったんですが」 別に隠すような事でも無いので、朝の出来事を話す 「そんな事があったんですが」 「俺は、あの人はライダー少女なんじゃないかと思うんだ。でも思い出せない」 誰なのかはわからない。でもライダー少女だったような、そんな記憶だけはあるのだ。 休憩時間に一応「Masked Rider Gials Allstars」に目を通すもその女性を見つける事は 出来なかった。 「やっぱり・・・・・・・・・・」 「Masked Rider Gials Allstars」は現在活動中のライダー少女しか載っていない。 そして、その記憶は、古い物であるように思えた 彼は、そこから、女性が既に引退したライダー少女では無いかと考えたのだった。 そこで、社長に朝の出来事の話をし、昔のライダー少女の情報は無いか尋ねたところ 「そうだな・・・・・・・・・・良い機会だ」 そう言うと彼は机の中から、一冊の分厚い本を取り出した 「これは、アミーゴプロが分裂する前のライダー少女情報と彼女たちの戦いの記録だ・・・・・」 貴一は 「もしかして、これは・・・・・・・・・・・・・・」 その本のタイトルは「Masked Rider Girl's History」 これはアミーゴプロが分裂する前までに活動していたのライダー少女の情報が 載っているもので,発行されたのは分裂する前の事だが、発行部数が少なく 再版されなかった事もあり今はどこにも売っていない。 したがって、ファンの間では正にレアアイテムであり、再版を願う声も多い 「この機会に、これを君に渡すよ。先人達から学ぶ事も重要だからね」 そして、貴一はそれを手に取ると開きパラパラとめくっていく、そこには「本郷 凪」を初めとして かつての世界の守り手たちの歴史があった。彼女たちの経歴とその戦いの記録が載っていた。 中には貴一の知らない内容も多く載っていた。 そして、ここに載っている者たちは全員、今は引退し、それぞれの道を歩んでいる。 もっとも、彼がテレビの特集や週刊誌の企画を通して、その後を知っているライダー少女は 一部であり、多くは、消息不明である。 そして、彼は、本のページのとあるページを開いたとき、彼は見つけた、 「この人だ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・風祭 真（まこと）・・・・・」 そこには、彼が朝見かけた女性の姿があった。 彼女に関する記録を読んだ瞬間、彼は絶句した。 そして自室に帰った後、彼の心は沈んでいた。 彼が読んだ内容は、一人のライダー少女の身におきた悲しき出来事の数々だった。 それは読む側にも暗い影を感じさせた。 「ライダー少女は悲しき事情を抱えていると聞いた事はあるが・・・・・・・・・・」 本を取り出す、でも本を開く気にはなれなかった。 （朝の出来事から始まって、あんな事を知ることになるとはな） 再び本に目線を向け 「はぁ・・・・・・・・・・・」 そして社長の言葉を思い出す （先人達から学ぶ事も重要かでも、まだ俺には・・・・・・・） 一方、社長は 「まだ早すぎたかな」 と呟いていた 本日の訓練の結果 高耶 晴海：心 ２ 技 １→２ 体 １ |
